The JavaCareers SourceForge project had been created and is available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/javacareers/.

As we speak we're working on a pre-alpha version of the Jobs part, using JSF, Spring and Hibernate, this code will get published on the sourceforge project around next month. From that point onwards we'll allow other developers to join the project.

The project will consist out of three parts :

1) Jobs
2) Education
3) Careers

The flow of the website will of course be Education -> Job -> Career
The domains which we'll use in the future are either www.javacareers.be or/and www.javacareers.org, which have of course been registered

A very first version of the JavaCareers-feeder sub-project has been released (thanks to Bavo for the first rough draft).
This non-gui daemon application scans different RSS feeds and imports the found java-related jobs into the JavaCareers database. This release is important because the complete infrastructure (maven, sourceforge, cvs, etc.) has been configured and is now ready to host the main project called javacareers-web.

A very first basic release of JavaCareers-web is planned for next month, that release will focus on the basic functionality of jobs. The technology eventually used is the JSF Sun reference implementation, Spring and hibernate. Keep in mind that we're taking baby-steps towards a full-blown Education, Jobs and Career site which can be used by the Java Community.
