A very first version of the JavaCareers-feeder sub-project has been released (thanks to Bavo for the first rough draft).
This non-gui daemon application scans different RSS feeds and imports the found java-related jobs into the JavaCareers database. This release is important because the complete infrastructure (maven, sourceforge, cvs, etc.) has been configured and is now ready to host the main project called javacareers-web.
A very first basic release of JavaCareers-web is planned for next month, that release will focus on the basic functionality of jobs. The technology eventually used is the JSF Sun reference implementation, Spring and hibernate. This will give us a head-start for other developers to join the different javacareers project, I hope you will
So check out the JavaCareers SourceForge
site and for the people more interested in the technical stuff you can browse the generated maven site
.
Keep in mind that we're taking baby-steps towards a full-blown Education, Jobs and Career site which can be used by the Java Community.
Cheers,
Stephan
