ehCache

Abstract

Ehcache has become the defacto caching solution for java applications.

Since its initial release in 2004 as Hibernate 2nd level cache, it hasn't stopped growing its feature list and popularity. We'll start this presentation showing how to solve performance issues using caching. We'll then move on to an extensive coverage of the features Ehcache provides you with, including the newly introduced Search functionality. We'll be covering features such as the new Hibernate cache strategies, cache writers, transactional caches, clustering & consistency modes... All with some example context, explaining where and how these features can be useful to your application.
