Belgium French Community goes SOA Open Source with Servicemix and Bull
Belgium French Community wanted to implement SOA by using an ESB JBI standard. ETNIC, the Information Technology Agency of the Belgium French Community chose BULL with Servicemix to help them to develop the solution. The application developed by Bull connects more than 3,500 schools to a centralized administration system in order to facilitate student registrations. It is able to handle 20 registrations per second in order to manage the pick of more than one million registrations at the start of the new school year. During this presentation, we will explain you the solution (architecture, goals, constraints, ...) which includes the ESB Servicemix, the broker ActiveMQ, the BPEL engine Ode and several tools like Cimero, OpenNMS, Spagic, ...

Guillame Nodet is Principal Engineer at IONA Technologies for the FUSE?, family of open source Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) products. The FUSE offerings are based on leading open source projects hosted by the Apache Software Foundation.
Guillaume has extensive experience within the open source community and is a highly regarded Committer across several projects, including Apache ServiceMix, Apache Active MQ, Apache Geronimo, Apache Ode, Apache CXF and Codehaus XFire. Also, as a member of JSR 312 at the Java Community Process (JCP), Guillaume is contributing to the development of the Java? Business Integration (JBI 2.0) technical specification to address new requirements.
Prior to joining IONA Guillaume was Senior Architect at LogicBlaze, a leading provider of open source solutions for SOA and business integration which was acquired by IONA in April 2007. At LogicBlaze Guillaume was responsible for leading key development contributions in particular he was lead developer of the Apache ServiceMix project.
Guillaume has also held Java Architect and software developer roles at Delia Systems, headquartered in Paris, France and European consulting organization, Altran Technologies.
Based in Normandy, France, Guillaume holds an Engineering degree in Computer Science from Ecole supérieure d'Electricité.

Anne Noseda BIO

Anne Noseda is a junior analyst-developer at BULL Belgium. She works in the BU Open Source and has done some projects with OW2 developments like Bonita and Orchestra. This last year, she was the technical director of the first Open Source ESB implementation in Europe at French Community of Belgium.
